Artist's Description

"Faded Memories" - News reports say the last of the roller coaster was coming down 7/11/12 at 8 am at the derelict Lincoln Park in Westport, MA. Successful until the mid-1980s, when larger theme parks started to become more popular, a fatal accident on the park's 1946 "Comet" was the park's undoing. Despite investing money to refurbish the park and telling the Providence Journal in May 1987 the park was safe and had been fully inspected, just four months later the brakes failed on the "Comet" and it jackknifed. No one was injured, but the roller coaster never traveled around the rails again. Shot this last December.
